Cindy Campbell’s Hole-In-One
Cindy Campbell recorded the first hole-in-one at a Lambda DU reunion on the 8th hole at the Bear course at the Forest Country Club. It was attested by Soupy and their playing partners Bill and Edie Budney.
“It was a cool, Friday, March afternoon, after a frost delay, if you can imagine. The hole was approximately 80 yards from the ladies tee and Cindy used her trusty pitching wedge. The ball landed on the front of the green and we watched it role obediently into the hole.”

The Highlight of the evenings festivities was the recognition of Gil Ferdon’s efforts through the years to maintain Clarkson and Lambda DU contacts.
In “Bud” Darby’s Spirit
Bud, you are missed but your spirit remains with us forever.
We recognize the Lambdas and DUs who attend the reunion while courageously fighting through challenges presented by difficult life circumstances in the same spirit as our departed brother, Bud Darby ‘61. Having lost a leg to cancer, Bud was fitted with a prosthetic and both willed and worked his way back on the links for the 2008 reunion. Our brotherhood is proud of this fighting spirit and hopes more of its challenged brothers will return to the place where they are always welcome. This year Mike Davis inspired us all with the meaning of reunion. Friday afternoon he received 2 pints of blood, got into the car with wife Alma and drove straight to the reunion dinner. We salute and thank you, Mike, for underscoring what makes the Lambda & DU brotherhood so special.
