Chapter named 2019 DU Sweepstakes Finalist

The Leadership Institute is Delta Upsilon's annual celebration of brotherhood. Held this year in Indianapolis from July 25-28, 2019, the program includes the Undergraduate Convention and Assembly of Trustees, as well as educational sessions for undergraduates and alumni. It is also the International Fraternity’s opportunity to recognize the best and brightest chapters and individuals from the last year. The highlight of the Leadership Institute is the announcement of the Sweepstakes Finalists and Sweepstakes Trophy recipient. On Saturday, July 27, the Clarkson Chapter was named Finalist while Kansas State Chapter was named the Sweepstakes Trophy winner. The Clarkson Chapter won the Sweepstakes Trophy in 1969 and was named a finalist in 2018.

During the 2018-2019 academic year, the Clarkson Chapter ranks first among Clarkson fraternities and sororities in GPA for the second year in a row and exceeds the all male, all female and all campus grade point averages. Importantly, the grade point average for new members in the semester in which they pledged was an outstanding 3.40.

It is important to note that it is only four years since the chapter was reinstated into DU, and has been recognized as one of the top chapters two years in a row.
